Burgess Peaks Beef & Lamb Boxes – Returns & Refund Policy

At Burgess Peaks, we take pride in delivering premium, farm-direct beef and lamb. Due to the perishable nature of our products, our returns and refund policy is outlined below.

🥩 Perishable Goods

All of our products are perishable food items and are not eligible for return once delivered, unless the product is faulty, damaged, or does not meet acceptable quality standards under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act.

📦 Delivery Issues

If your order arrives:

  • Damaged
  • Incorrect
  • Not chilled/frozen as expected
  • Or in an unsatisfactory condition

Please contact us within 24 hours of delivery.

Please include:

  • Your name and order details
  • Photos of the product and packaging
  • A description of the issue

💰 Refunds & Replacements

If we determine that your product:

  • Is unsafe
  • Is not of acceptable quality
  • Or does not match your order

We will offer:

  • A replacement (where possible), or
  • A full or partial refund

Refunds will be processed via your original payment method.

❄️ Storage Responsibility

Once your order has been delivered or collected, it is the customer’s responsibility to:

  • Refrigerate or freeze products promptly
  • Follow storage instructions provided

We cannot accept responsibility for products that have been mishandled or stored incorrectly after delivery.

📅 Order Changes & Cancellations

  • Orders may be changed or cancelled up to 24 hours before dispatch
  • After this time, we are unable to make changes due to processing and preparation of your order

🚚 Delivery Details

Customers must ensure:

  • Someone is available to receive the delivery, or
  • A safe, chilled location is provided

We are not responsible for spoilage if delivery instructions are not followed.
