At Burgess Peaks Beef & Lamb Boxes, everything starts on our farm just outside Raglan.
Our animals are raised on open pasture, grazing fresh grass and living naturally as they should. We believe great meat begins with great farming, and we take pride in producing premium beef and lamb through careful breeding, strong genetics, and responsible farming practices.
Our cattle herd is predominantly Piedangus, alongside some straight Angus and straight Piedmontese genetics. This combination allows us to produce beef with excellent marbling, tenderness, and flavour, while also benefiting from the lean, high-yield characteristics the Piedmontese breed is known for.
Our sheep are Wiltshire, along with Wiltshire cross sheep from our terminal line, bred to produce strong, meaty lambs with great growth and eating quality.
Everything we sell is grass-fed and raised on our farm, and every box of meat comes with full traceability back to our animals and our land. We believe customers should know exactly where their food comes from.
Rather than sending all our animals through the traditional supply chain, we wanted to offer something different — the opportunity for people to buy farm-raised meat directly from the source.

Every box contains carefully selected cuts of our own beef and lamb, professionally processed and packed to ensure quality and consistency. By selling directly to customers, we are able to offer premium farm-raised meat without the high supermarket prices.
